Applications are accepted from both Polish and international startups via this form until October 5. The conference and pitching will take place on 19th of October 2023 in Warsaw. Individuals from selected companies will make short presentations in front of an industry audience, outlining their concepts and growth prospects – physical attendance at the conference is required. Based on this, an expert jury will award prizes. In addition to funding, winning startups will get wild cards to foodtech.ac acceleration program, mentoring sessions with investors, support from the RoślinnieJemy team, access to a community of partners and industry experts, and a branding/communication package on RoślinnieJemy’s social media channels.

The pitching is organized by foodtech.ac, an experienced startup accelerator which supports companies that use technology to produce healthy food from alternative protein sources with low environmental impact. The program offers intensive training, workshops and valuable contacts with potential customers and investors. Previous participants in the program have achieved significant success in the market: accelerator participants included companies such as Apollo Roślinny Qurczak, It’s bean, Planeat, SERio or Food Jack. In addition, the winning Plant-Powered Pitching startups also get the support of RoślinnieJemy, an expert plant based campaign that has been supporting the transformation of the food system in Poland for years.

The participation in the contest is itself a chance for networking – the Plant-Powered Perspectives conference has been providing a space for discussion of the plant-based trend for years, and each edition brings together people who consider this topic to be crucial in discussions about the future of business and the food system. The contestants will have a chance to meet with important representatives of the Polish plant-based industry as well as foreign experts. In addition to panels addressing topics that are currently most important to the industry – the current market situation, institutional support or the innovation system – the conference is accompanied by the Innovation Showroom, where the top plant-powered producers display their products.

More information about the competition, including the rules of participation, and tickets for this year’s conference, can be found on the Plant-Powered Perspectives website.
