ING Bank Śląski once again invests in the future – in the sixth edition of the ING Grant Program, the bank has allocated a substantial one million PLN to support startups in the foodtech and agritech sectors, as well as young scientists who are developing solutions to promote sustainable food production.
The world is facing an enormous challenge. The global population surpassed 8 billion in 2022, and according to UN forecasts, it is expected to reach nearly 10 billion by 2050. With such rapid population growth, the demand for food will necessitate a transformation of the agri-food sector. In response to these challenges, ING is focusing the sixth edition of its Grant Program on the 15th UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) – “Life on Land,” which emphasizes the protection of biodiversity and the improvement of soil quality.
Areas supported by the grant
Balance in nature is key to sustainable agriculture. ING fully understands that technological innovations must align with the need to protect the environment. The competition seeks initiatives that will have a tangible impact on responsible resource management, specifically in the areas of:
- Innovative technologies in agriculture,
- Biodiversity and soil quality,
- Plant-based alternatives in diets.
